Orebić is situated in the mild bay on the southwest coast of Pelješac peninsula, directly opposite to the island of Korcula.
Orebić is the largest town on the southern coast. It was an important centre for construction of marine ships in the past, and later a strategic harbour. There were preserved, from this period of time, many architecturally interesting historic houses of rich naval captains, who have been settled there in the period of greatest expansion. Except of this so called “Captain's Riviera”, which forms the heart of the city, people during holiday can find the amount of typical restaurants, shops and cafés with art-craft products.
There in Orebić there is found very popular sandy beach in the Trstenica bay. Virgin untouched Mediterranean vegetation - trees, Pini, oleandre, beautiful beaches and a crystal sea, doesn't leave any men on holiday careless .
It is possible to visit island of Korčula from Orebić by ferry or cruise sailboat, which is often called the jewel of the Adriatic Sea and its visit is an unforgettable experience for everyone.
